Gratitude for the YWCA: Empowering Women in St. Louis

This season, we’re seeing so many uplifting messages of families coming back together, holiday traditions being rekindled and the community once again helping those in need.

And speaking of our community, we are particularly thankful for the YWCA and their impactful work in the St. Louis region. The YWCA was established in 1858, and here, the YWCA Metro St. Louis was formed in 1904.

Throughout its history, the YWCA has been a champion for women. From helping with employment opportunities to housing, addressing discrimination and abuse, this organization is truly at the forefront of helping women and their families achieve their full potential and wellbeing.

This year, the YWCA of Metro St. Louis has a fantastic leader at its helm: Dr. Cheryl Watkins, MBA.

As the President and CEO of the organization, Dr. Watkins has a proven track record of creating, managing and growing businesses in corporate, non-profit, innovation and start-up environments.

We’re excited to see Dr. Watkins lead the 44th Annual Leader Lunch: St. Louis’ premier recognition of women’s leadership since 1979. This year, the event will be held on December 13, 2024.

Thank you, YWCA, for being such a driving force of positive change within our community.
